OWNERS

Owned and operated by Betul and Ismail Uslu, Agora D.C. and Agora Tysons are family-run establishments where attention to detail and warm hospitality are our top priorities. Ismail's dedication to improving every aspect of Agora led him to become the sole owner of Agora D.C. in 2008. Meanwhile, Betul, who left her banking career in 2016, focuses on private events, adding a personal touch to your special occasions. Today, Agora operates three acclaimed locations — Agora DC in Dupont Circle, Agora Tysons in Tysons Corner, and the newly opened Agora Bethesda — each celebrated as a premier Mediterranean dining destination in the DMV region.

At Agora, we are proud to introduce you to Executive Chef Ismet Sahin, a native of Southern Turkey. With his expertise in Turkish cuisine and gastronomy, Ismet adds an authentic touch to our menu. Having worked with renowned chefs at five-star hotels in Turkey, he brings an abundance of flavors of Mediterranean and innovative dishes to Agora D.C. and Tysons.
